Pollution of Rivers by religious acts is violation of Human right
According to the High Court of Uttarakhand, two of India’s rivers, the Ganga and Yamuna, are “living entities" (Monday, March 20, 2017). No body should deface, pollute and exploit them. It is the duty of state and central government to protect them according to Article 48A of the Constitution of India. As per these provisions how state or central is giving permission to immerse the idols in the rivers. Rivers are the only source of surface water for drinking. They are crucial for life on surface of earth. No one has right to pollute them deliberately or with their own fancy ideas or personal gain. If anything need to be thrown in the river it should be made safe before putting into them.
